to enter details to create the first email address which

successfuly the Control Panel will function normally allowing

| Configuring
the Mail Client |
Arlein.net
uses SSL to secure it's mail services therefore encrypting
the connection between your computer and the server. Setting
up your mail client requires a few more settings to be
specified to allow your mail to be sent and received properly.
You can start off by creating a normal mail account.
The following example is setup on a computer with Outlook
Express, but the same principle applies to other mail
clients. |
| |
 |
|
 |
|
Above
in the 'Servers' tab the incoming and outgoing mail, whether
you use POP3 or IMAP accounts, must be set to 'www.arlein.net'.
If this is set to 'mail.arlein.net' you will receive a
warning that the server certificate does not match the
incoming/outgoing mail server specified by you.
On the same properties page you must tick the box to specify
that the outgoing mail server requires authentication.
Outlook Express automatically has this set to 'Use
same settings as my incoming mail server' which
is the correct setting.
The 'Advanced' tab also has important settings, you must
tick the 'This server requires a
secure connection (SSL)' box for both incoming
and outgoing mail. |
